Very nice Amie. And mom. There are many lessons on Indaba to help you continue to grow. A little advice would be that rythym is the most important part of music. In a single bar of music if you have 4 quarter notes played as 1.2.3.4. at any tempo as a rythym; if you change one of those quarter notes to an eighth note and an eighth note rest, you've just changed the groove of the song. I've noticed that in your 3 recordings that you're timing is off a little bit throughout your playing. This could be from the nervousness of recording and putting something that matters greatly to you out there in front of the world. You've done a great job! When I practice I practice with a metronome; it's neccessary for me because that helps me lock in my rythym when playing drums and thats' critical when others are locking to me for their timing and groove. It's also neccessary for whatever audience we're playing for ,whether that 's live or someone listening to a recording we've done. Anyway, good job so far and keep practising!
