The Sursiks specialize in turning spoken word recordings into music. The melodies are painstakingly figured out note for note, and then musical arrangements are written to the resultant melodies. No "Autotune" or "Melodyne" is used . Most (if not all) instruments are real instruments played by real musicians. "Marijuana in Michigan" uses a news story from 2007 about the possibility of legalizing medical marijuana in Michigan (it passed, by the way).
