Calling All Skeletons!

Since their breakout on the punk scene in the late '90's, Alkaline Trio has successfully evolved from a band of nonconformist diehards into masters of well-crafted doom-pop, selling more than a million records worldwide in the process. The group consistently delivers high-energy anthems about loss, love, and regret, always partnering intelligent lyrics with throbbing beats and plunging guitar riffs.

Alkaline Trio's latest release, Agony & Irony, produced by Josh Abraham (Linkin Park, Slayer, Atreyu), is another collection of masterpieces. The band is offering you the unique opportunity to collaborate and inject your energy on the song, "I Found Away." This is your chance to put your personal stamp on an exciting project with an established group. The winner of the contest will have their song added to the Alk3's discography and the track will be available for sale on the iTunes Music store!

"I Found Away" is a song with notable lyrics, inspired by Matt Skiba's discovery of Transcendental Meditation - the same form of reflection that inspired The Beatles in the 1960's. The anthem begins with a spoken-word quote from Dante's "The Divine Comedy," by Douglas P. (of the post industrial 80's band Death In June), and takes off musically with the seasoned writings from the band's trio.

Add to this inspirational song by reworking the track stems, sectioning in new instruments, or stripping it down and creating a new sound!

Winners were announced on May 8, 2009 at 5:00 PM EDT
