Turn it Up and Break it Down!

Swedish band, The Sounds, is electrifying the world, one hit at a time. Currently finishing up a tour with No Doubt, this traveling team arguably boasts the two hottest women rockers in the industry. Since their formation in 1999, The Sounds’ vocalist Maja Ivarsson has lead this punk rock, new wave quintet through a funky, world-wide decade-long dance party, rocking venues in over 25 countries. Now they’re bringing their music straight to you!

They’ve provided the stems to the song “Beatbox” off of their latest album, Crossing the Rubicon, and are challenging you to re-imagine the track! As the song says, “turn it up and break it down!” Show The Sounds your beatbox!

Winners were announced on September 28, 2009 at 5:00 PM EDT

In addition to this great exposure, the winner will receive tickets to an upcoming show, complete with a band meet-and-greet and their remix will be played to crowds at an official Sounds after-party!

10 Honorable Mention Winners, as chosen by popular vote, will receive signed copies of a Sounds album!

Judges

The Band Members of The Sounds and Indaba's own EVP of Artists and Community, Mantis Evar, will be choosing the Grand Prize Winner.
