When you grow up in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, you might think your access to a thriving hip-hop community would be a bit...limited. Not when Classified's involved! He's built one around himself. Rather than wait for the world to bring hip-hop to him, Classified decided to go out and make a name for himself, quickly becoming THE Atlantic Coast representative in the genre and then returned to his hometown with chops.

We're challenging you to make your own name, using Classified's new single, “Trouble”, off of his latest release, Self Explanatory. Listen to his version and read his lyrics, but come up with your own lyrical masterpiece. Check out the videos below for inspiration. The winning track will be professionally produced by Classified and the song will be digitally released through HalfLife/Sony Music Canada.

This is a shout out to all of you lyricists, vocalists, rappers, and producers. We want to hear you cause some trouble!

Winners were announced on May 29, 2009 at 12:00 PM EDT

Who cares about the radio friendly aspect of this shit? Radio rap is a bunch of fucking dumb shit. The underground is the only thing that is keeping hip hop alive right now. Check out my entry judges.
