Dragging files onto timeline but can't hear them.

Hi. Just joined this thing so hopefully this is an easy question and just me being stupid. I have uploaded the file I want to use and have dragged it over onto the timeline. A line shows where I put it. I press play and it just plays silence up until it reaches where I placed it and then stops. What am I doing wrong? I expected it would reach where I placed it and then start playing. Thanks for any help.

You have choose the wrong file format,You can only work with mp.3 Wav and Aif !All othert formats are not suported !

There you will find also some Videos what can be very helpfull on the first steps
