Paper Cha$erz

As most of us on Indaba are artists looking to make music a full-time job or even a just side gig that that tosses us some money for our hard work from time to time... or for those of us who know we are already on that level of talent to deserve some financial benefits for our art; welcome to Paper Chazerz... This group was specifically created to open the door for artists who want to make money for their collaborative efforts OR for artists who are willing to pay other artists for their contributions to their songs. This group is also a great place for graphic designers, mixing engineers, promoters etc. anybody who has something to bring to the table.

All projects/sessions created through this group are to be negotiated between the artists involved in the project; "Paper Chaserz" is merely the meeting place to set up such projects. This will allow established artists to be compensated for their talents and effort, while also offering opportunity to less established artists who are willing to invest into their own music by paying other artists for their collaborative contributions.

Again, it is up to the artists involved to negotiate their own agreements for cash; this group "Paper Chaserz" has no involvement in these negotiations and does not recieve nor expect anything from these "contracts." Good luck to all artists on your collaborations... now... let's get that paper!

Announcements

February 17, 2009, by Kava 1.

I re-posted this announcement so as comments fill up on the comment board, new people can still see this...

Hello "Paper Chaserz" thank you for those who decided to join and for those just looking; check us out in a few months and see how this group is working for other artists... I just recently came upon this idea, and I really don't know whether it succeed or fail; but I figured it was worth a try... how I see it working is somewhat like this...

1. we all join the group, post an introduction of who you are and what you can do for other members of this group (of course this is all optional and nothing is mandatory in this group; other than mutual respect be shown to all members)

2. if you find an interest in what someone has to offer, perhaps check their profile or message them to establish contact and possibly strike a deal.

3. Upon establishment of this interest; all members involved in the project reach mutually agreeable terms (ie: who is the person paying out and who is the recipient of payment, how much? what expectations are expected to be met and payment due-date etc.)... I guess you could call it a contract.

4. Do your thing and hopefully all parties involved are happy w/ the results.

...Now understand that this is simply the meeting spot to establish these connections & agreements and I in NO WAY have any means, nor want the responsibility of enforcing these contracts and accept NO liability for spoiled "contracts."

also, just as a personal request... PERSONAL messaging between negotiating artists is MUCH more preferable to me; as I REALLY don't want my inbox blown up w/ every single message relayed back and forth between you and the people you are collaborating w/... one on one communication is probably the best way to discuss these matters anyways... but feel free to post on the message board any general questions, statements or propositions to the community.

please remember; this is just as new to me as it is to you (i JUST came up w/ this idea day before yesterday)... so I won't have all the answers to ALL questions, I will try my best to answer any you have and I will also seek the help of the indaba staff if needed to clarify any concerns or questions you may have that I can't answer... so please bare w/ me.

I really hope this works and who knows, this could be the beginning of something BIG on Indaba; let's hope so

and last but not least... OBVIOUSLY my services are available to any artists of any genre who would be looking for a SOLID, experienced hip-hop M.C. to drop a verse, sing a hook (yes I can sing... sort of) or even ghost write a verse for any song project you have in mind; check my profile page to see some of my work (i will have new stuff posted soon) ... I also have contacts to set up shows for artists in the Nanaimo B.C. area for artists looking to perform there... message me personally if you have an interest or any questions... thanks again for your time... and hopefully you enjoy a successful membership to "Paper Chaserz"... good luck
