This group is for all the odd times / complex signature fans. "Signatures which do not fit into the usual duple or triple categories are known as complex, asymmetric, or irregular, although these are broad terms, and usually a more specific description is appropriate. IndabaMusic Harry Smith Project
Recently I was inspired by what they're doing on the "playing for Change" project and by a documentary I saw about Harry Smith, who put together "The Anthology of American Folk Music". Here's the idea for the project: 1) We select 10 -12 songs from the Anthology. Most of the songs are in the public domain, but try to verify that you're picking one in PD. 2) We either rework the songs with our own modern interpretation, add lyrics, change the music or go with the original version.
