About Streeter
Streeter

Streeter Seidell is a comedy writer and (mediocre) drummer living in Brooklyn, NY. During the day he edits the front page of CollegeHumor.com but when the sun goes down he takes his place at the helm of the Indablog. He maintains a personal blog at StreeterSeidell.com and wants to make sure you know he once wrote something for the New York Times and that it was, in the words of his mother, "Amazing! You're so talented!"

Wikipedia Meets Last.fm

Tuesday April 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM

Mashups have swept the music world but we haven't seen many website mashups, have we?  Well, that's no longer the case.  Wired pointed me to a neat new website that fuses Wikipedia with Last.fm to create WikiFM.  Basically, this makes it easy to listen to bands and read about them at the same time.  Even more impressive than this simple, fun idea is that the mind behind it was born in - wait for it - 1992.  My old brain still refuses to take seriously anyone borne after 1990 but I gotta say, this is some quality work.  So thanks, Cat Chapman, you've changed my mind about you millenials.  Now, figure out how to get all my messages - Indaba, Facebook, Myspace, ets - sent to one location and I'll really respect you.
