About Streeter
Streeter

Streeter Seidell is a comedy writer and (mediocre) drummer living in Brooklyn, NY. During the day he edits the front page of CollegeHumor.com but when the sun goes down he takes his place at the helm of the Indablog. He maintains a personal blog at StreeterSeidell.com and wants to make sure you know he once wrote something for the New York Times and that it was, in the words of his mother, "Amazing! You're so talented!"

The Monday (Wednesday) Showdown

Wednesday October 01, 2008 at 09:00 AM

Hey Indabanas, we skipped the showdown this Monday so why not do it today.  Last week we tried to figure out who was the better Beatle, John or Paul and you guys unanimously voted for Ringo.  Just kidding.   It seems we couldn't come to a decision.  So this week let's try to flesh out an argument that you guys might feel more comfortable taking a stand on.  Music, like anything else, is full of great works.  It is also full of really annoying songs and that's what we're going to be arguing about today.  So I want to know which of these two songs is more annoying and, I warn you, if you listen to them you may never come back here again.  I've selected two horrible songs that have both been stuck in my head for years now: Raffi's "Banana Phone" and Lambchop's "The Song That Doesn't End."  Which one is more annoying?
