The right has always had a tough time getting quality music acts. Most of the great music acts of our day tend to swing pretty far to the left. Apparently though, that doesn't stop the right from snagging a song or two and their latest target is the Foo Fighters.
Apparently, the band is asking that the McCain campaign stop using their song, "My Hero." According to the band, "The saddest thing about this is that `My Hero' was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential," the band said in a statement. "To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song."
McCain has also been asked to stop using songs from John Mellencamp, Heart and Jackson Browne. But don't think the left is entirely innocent. Sam Moore has asked Obama to stop using "Soul Man." Jerk...
