You're a straight up person Tassili. I like that. As far as criticism. It's ok to give it, just don't say things in a way to be-little someone. As a DJ I get hundreds of people that ask me to listen to their music. I am honest, and I give pointers along the way even if the music is horrible. It's all about tone, and on-line it's hard to tell a person's tone by what they write. But hopefully we'll start getting a positive message across.
I hear you. But let me just say that I'm on about a million sites and by far Indaba is the best as far as getting feedback. Back in the day it was a known fact; if you hit the board at Indaba asking people to listen to your mix they would indeed do that. The flipside was that they would also tell you what they thought about your mix.... on the board, good or bad! I loved those days. But people started getting real sensitive about criticism around the time of the K-OS comp so now a lot of folks are just reluctant to give honest feedback because they don't want to be labelled a "hater" and I think that's a shame. I'm glad people like you, Loops and David Bowes are bringing the real Indaba flavor back. It is possible to keep it real and keep it civil at the same time. I hope we get back to that soon. This is not a mutual admiration society after all.
Wow. Getting a comment here is like trying to make George Bush look smart. Not Happening. It's like no one is really into networking. SMH... I leave comments and no one comments back. I will only comment ppl that comment from now on.
We realized that the T-Pain and Har Mar deadlines were pretty close together, and wanted to spread those dates out a little bit for everybody who wants to enter both contests. I'm glad this date works better for you guys!
Ok. Whats up people? Well, I'm going out on the limb here and submitting a track for this song. I'm putting myself to the test. Let me know what you guys think. I'll be sure to comment back.
