For the past couple of years I have been finding myself increasingly drawn to modern dance music, particularly house and techno. Though I do come from a classical background (cellist), for this contest I wanted to do something more unexpected. I originally set out to make a nice dance track from the Dona Nobis Pacem solo, but because the piece is in 3/4 I had to splice some of the parts to make it fit my drum track a little nicer, but still leaving some sections to oscillate between the bars. I tried to keep the cello as a main voice as much as possible, though at some points it does go in a different direction. All of the parts were written and mixed on Ableton. Thanks!
