Ah shucks... Thanks a ton, man. This being November, AKA National Solo Album Month, in which musicians write and record an album in a month, I'll have a big ol' chunk of new stuff that I will be posting under the name "Dusty Grimm". So far the stuff is sounding pretty neato...

Richard Louie, It's been a cool experience here man. I enjoy your expressions and creativity tremendously. Continue to strive for totality but remain true to your heart. Jazz is a beautiful artform that you perform soulfully and brilliantly. Have an awesome weekend and I look forward to more recordings.

Peace and Rock On,

Allan Blanks

OH man I loved the track Girls Night In. It's so sweet an calming. I love the alternative feel, but the it has a R&B and hip hop incorporated into it. It's a deadly combo. I love it.

Daniel Ciurlizza wrote on November 1, 2009:

Hey... just heard your tracks. I like em a lot! "A Caustic Collage" is great. "Johanna" is beautiful. "Truth Hurts" makes me tap my feet, and Girls Night In is smooth. That melody on GNI is really pretty. Kinda like some of John Legends or Anthony Hamiltons melodies.

You might like "Late Nights" and "The Summer" on my page.

Hey man, thanks for coming by my site. I hope you enjoyed some of the stuff on there. I'll be listening to your stuff too in a minute. Take care, Richard.

Thanks for the love. I only use Reason4 a little, some of the sounds and freq settings are pretty useful. I did use it loads back in the day but its not practical all the time. I do use Logic8 more but still go back to cubase5 for my wave editing and few other effects that i find stand out a bit compared to Logic8. Best thing is to know every software inside out and then use what you need as and when, that way you're never limited to gaining the exact sound your looking for.

If you haven't upgraded I wouldn't stress about it neither, its pretty much the same as except sound upgrades few new modules thrown in for good measure. But because you've already got Logic8 you should be fine.
