Hannah was raised in Cambridge, Ontario and moved to Toronto in the late 90’s to pursue music. Hannah holds a B.F.A. from York University and has studied with some of Canada’s major jazz players including Lisa Martinelli, Mark Eisenmann, and Paco Luviano.

Hannah has performed with some of Canada’s most diverse music projects. She’s played Brazilian music with Samba Squad, African music with Njacko Backo and Kalimba, Kalimba and with guitarist Donné Roberts, and a variety of musical styles with the internationally renowned group, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, conducted by Brainerd Blyden-Taylor.

While performing in world music groups, Hannah began a jazz project in 2004 with a pre-release of songs entitled, “My Favourite Things.” Since beginning the project Hannah has branched out and her compositions are a hybrid of styles including jazz, latin jazz, and popular music. Her music has been featured on JazzFM and her band has appeared in clubs in Toronto and the surrounding area. She has played with renowned harmonica player Hendrick Meurkens and Canadian talents like Andrew Craig, Robi Botos, and Dione Taylor.

Hannah is recorded as a vocalist on the CBC Sounds of the Season album with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, Njacko Backo and Kalimba Kalimba, Wibi - an a cappella group, and for commercials. Her debut release is expected in 2009 and will feature her compositions and arrangements of jazz and popular songs.
