My name is Mathew Welch. Born in Texas in 1981. The family moved around a lot growing up until settling in Kansas City, Missouri when i was 5.
After graduating high school and going to 2 years of college Majoring in illustration and graphic design, i realized something in my life was missing.. It was then that i decided to pursue music. I heard about an audition in New York City, and was on a bus a week later with only a gym bag and an acoustic guitar. I arrived on Feb 8th of 2002. I Found a place to stay in Philadelphia, pa with some family. Until i got on my own. and the next day i was on a train heading to new york for this audition that was " Male Accapella singing group being formed".. After getting lost in new york city for about 5 hours i finally found the place and was the last one to audition at 9pm.. and They picked me.. So then the journey began. We started working with a well known producer named Tommy Faragher, who mentored me in producing and writing music.. So after this vocal group decided to part ways. Me and other lead singer Mike Reading decided to start our own group with Tommy Faragher still helping with production. We wanted to create a Rock band.. And so we did, with many musicians coming and going we now have a permant 5 members and we are now known as Rivers Monroe. Our next project is a recording session with Phil Nicolo.
If anyone hasnt heard of him, then they should look him up.. He's worked on more projects then a New York City contruction crew haha ; )
So as well as singing and playing piano/keyboard in Rivers Monroe, I also produce for R&b artists, Country Artists. Hip Hop Artists, and am currently working on 2 different projects composing scores indie films.

Hello :) Mathew !!
Thanks for checking out my page. So I'm happy :D
You want remix, right?
If you did, I think so cool, too.
Thank you, your attention.

But, I'ii trying. I like this place.
Have a nice day !!
Great tracks Mathew, really like August evening...brilliant
I gladly will...
One other thing that I've noticed with Gun's N' Roses is the interesting voice layout. Sometimes two singers sing an octave, or any other interval, apart from each other.
However, you're obviously set on a atyle close to pop, and GNR is rock or hard rock, but I'm sure it would not be hard to use these techniques in your style...your songs have broken other borders, too, which is great.
I would greatly enjoy hearing the idea sometime.
I noticed unique recording / drum sounds in your songs...not many people can do that!
One thing that might help...write a song with a sound entirely different from anything you've done before, just to spice it up.
I was thinking maybe an angry sound, maybe a guitar solo or two, or possibly make it a song with two completely different parts to it (Guns N' Roses--November Rain is a great example of this), and the parts could completely switch moods.
Otherwise, great works so far!

and Your voice.. very awesome !!!!
