You got it, brother: Jaco was a one of a kind. I just found his kids [who are now grown and into music] on MySpace and you've just rminded me that I need to say hello. I remember at his wake [I forget what club it was], after they played Jaco's last recording, this soft, slow, melancholy lone bass playing...it was Jeff Berlin playing solo, live. It was one of the memorable and beautiful musical experiences of my life and a perfect way to say goodbye to our old friend...
