Hey thanks for getting my back... I almost reconsidered writing that, but I just couldn't stand to see anyone from Third Eye Blind getting bashed on their own contest for an unworthy cause. Its their song- they can do whatever they want with it; and chances are... since I am a "hardcore/lets stop using that dumb word" how bout I loved every other song they have put out so chances are that I will like it. I wasn't trying to speak for all of the fans either- I have no right to do that. I haven't even started this remix yet because I've been busy with my stage act; I cover "Semi-Charmed Life" almost every night I play and people go crazy! lol

thank you so much! it's really nice to hear people being nice to each other while competing. haha. your version is really good as well... i like the chord structure.. sounds like you're using f#, a, e just from listening.. but i like it.

and live we use marshall and mesa boogie half stacks, but the funny thing is for this recording we just used a small 15 watt crate amp with the gain turned down low.. so it gives this amazing, almost vintage rock sound that we sort of wish we could pull off live with our amazing amps. haha. funny how that turns out..

but thanks again and your version is definitely one of the best ones ive heard so far.

Slammin NDC remix... How did you do those vocals at the end? They don't sound like they came from the song. You did something I didn't do which was loop the electric guitar which is awesome. I love that little sound effect riff that is my favorite part. Good luck and I hope you win!

Thanks for your comments guys. There are four more songs to go to complete my CD. Some of these are the most challenging songs, but, I'm going to try to complete them within the next two weeks (fingers crossed). I have a lot of work left to do including getting my graphics finished for my MySpace page, figuring out the order of the songs, and making sure they all sound relatively similar sonically (no money to master right now).

How did I miss this remix? Well with 1200 entries, I guess it's pretty easy:) That was really sick. I would compare it favorably to Wilf L.'s mix or Ilya Ferre's mix in terms of production. I love the sounds and it kept my attention. Your tag note says that the mix is in C, but the vocals are in C#. I'll admit I don't always have the best ear for pitch, so is that a typo?
