Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Craft:
musician, student

drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, voice (bass), voice (backing), voice (male), keyboard, synthesizer, piano, tuba, euphonium, baritone horn, Percussion (All)
Genres:
rock, progressive rock, classic rock, metal, jazz, blues, blues-rock
Influences:
Yes, The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, ELP, Genesis (With Peter Gabriel), Guns N Roses, King Crimson, Metallica, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers

I'm 17 and from New Jersey. Don't have much along the lines of professional recording equipment, but i can definitely generate some good raw tracks, and my brother, who's studying audio engineering, can help me lay down some good tracks. I play every basic rock band instrument fairly proficiently, plus i can play concert percussion, tuba, and euphonium/baritone (given the equipment that is). My biggest influences are probably Yes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pink Floyd, but my tastes range anywhere from Bob Dylan to Metallica.

Extended

Favorite Lyric:

When I was young and they packed me off to school
And taught me how not to play the game,
I didnt mind if they groomed me for success,
Or if they said that I was a fool.
So I left there in the morning
With their God tucked underneath my arm --
Their half-assed smiles and the book of rules.
So I asked this God a question
And by way of firm reply,
He said -- Im not the kind you have to wind up on sundays.
So to my old headmaster (and to anyone who cares):
Before Im through Id like to say my prayers --
I dont believe you:
You had the whole damn thing all wrong --
Hes not the kind you have to wind up on sundays.
Well you can excomunicate me on my way to sunday school
And have all the bishops harmonize these lines --
How do you dare tell me that Im my fathers son
When that was just an accident of birth.
Id rather look around me -- compose a better song
`cos thats the honest measure of my worth.
In your pomp and all your glory youre a poorer man than me,
As you lick the boots of death born out of fear.
I dont believe you:
You had the whole damn thing all wrong --
Hes not the kind you have to wind up on sundays.

Day Job:

Working With Others

How I Work:

I'm willing to work whenever, for free (unless the song is sold for money, in which case I'm fine with a fair cut). Money is not my goal. I'm just in it for shits, giggles, and harmony. :)

Experience:

I have made a few demo recordings and played 1 or 2 live shows with my band The Eggmen, playing drums, singing backup, and overdubbing a little bass and guitar. Not the most talented bunch but great friends nonetheless. I play tuba in my high school's symphonic and concert bands, euphonium in the marching band, and bass in the jazz band. I also have a minor speaking/singing role in my high school's production of Secret Garden, Major Holmes. I am a founding member of the Wayne Hills High School Men's Choir. I am a bass singer, not too good for lead vocals on most songs, but i can definitely do some good lower harmonies.

Equipment:

Pacific by DW 5-piece Drum Kit with ride, 2 crash, splash, hats (all Sabian B8), cowbell, andaccess to a piccolo snare

Epiphone SG Electric Guitar

Epiphone Thunderbird Bass

Ibanez PF5 Acoustic-Electric

Yamaha MM6 Electronic Keyboard/MIDI Controller

Not much in the way of amplification, as i usually play acoustic when on my own, but i have access to friend's/band member's equipment.
