Hey everyone!

About me... Well I'm an adopted Edmontonion in Canada, originally from Newfoundland, Canada. I'm an avid musician, primarily a guitar player, but I have some skills on other types of strings as well as with percussion and vocals. However, being 23 years old and a guitar player for 19 years, it's safe to say that guitar is my weapon of choice.
I love being creative with music. I try not to limit myself, as far as style or genre goes, as much as possible. I'll play just about anything you can throw at me so if you may be interested in collaborating, please don't be deterred from checking me out if the styles of music I have posted here don't exactly fit your own.
I currently am not in a band though I am trying to piece one together here in Edmonton. In the meantime I'd love the chance to work with some other musicians online and even on the other side of the world. Also, if you happen to live in the Edmonton area and might be interested in joining/starting a new band be sure to say hello!
As time goes on and I finish recording more material, I'll be adding songs to this site accordingly. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the tunes I have posted and if you're interested in possibly working together or even just saying hello, please don't hesitate to drop a line!

Peace
-Alex

Working With Others

How I Work:

I'm interested in a few things here:
-Meeting new people, hopefully some musicians in my area to start a new project with and start gigging.
-Doing some online collaboration, prefferably by sending tracks back and forth personally, not on here (I've been recording at home for about 10 years now, I like to use my own tools!).
-I'd also be interested in filling any cracks that somebody may need a guitarist for. Be that either something online, live, etc... I'm interested in just about anything.
-As far as schedules go, I'm pretty open. I work a regular Mon-Fri job, 8am to 5pm. Anytime around that, I'm ready to rock!
-Regarding payments, rates, etc... I'm pretty cheap, and in most cases I just wouldn't be interested in charging anything. My passion for music far exceeds my passion or need for money.

Experience:

As mentioned above, I'm a guitar player with 19 years under my built, I've been at this my entire life quite literally. I've been a recording musician for about 10 years now, doing all my own home recordings. I have, however, been in a professional studio twice participating in two different projects. I've been in 6 different rock bands, 2 jazz bands, and have played with many different acoustic acts performing both on stage and in kitchen parties! lol I have taught guitar lessons for 2 years in total. I know my theory relatively well though I find it stifling to focus on theory and more productive to just play by ear. I take my music and my talents seriously but like to have fun with it as well. I am very flexible with what I can play and have great improvisation skills. I've also had a lot of leadership experience as well as all kinds of group work experience so I know how to be a team player, Which is very important to any successful collaboration or band.

Equipment:

Guitars:
-Ibanez SZ 720 FM (electric)
-Ibanez RG 270 (electric, completely redone, guts, paint, everything. Custom job I did myself!)
-Ovation Celebrity (acoustic)
-Regal Dobro (resonator style acoustic)

Turn it up!!!:
-Randall RG 100 SC paired up with a Randall 2x12 and 1x15 cabinet (3 speakers, one cabinet)

Effects:
-PODxt (soon to have accompanying floor board)

Recording:
-PODxt
-Adobe Audition v2.0
-Nuendo 3
-Drum Kit From Hell VST instrument
-Groove Agent VST instrument
-Access to other gear for recording more analog sounds.
