A native of Liverpool England, Steve Landy began his love affair with music and more to the point the blues when at around fifteen years old he turned on the radio and heard the Zep classic "Since Ive Been Loving You". Hooked he began to study Led Zeppelin and the blues they emulated. During his 9 year service in the british army he picked up the bass guitar and played in several blues and rock bands, most notably The Dirty Blues Band culminating in the release of the bands debut album "Inka's Eyes". After leaving the army in 1987 Steve moved to London and continued playing the pub circuit. It was around this time that he met his future wife and Syracuse native Andrea. They settled in the U.S. in '89. Concentrating on running a succsesful ceramic tile and natural stone showroom took up all Steve's time and he put the bass down for a a few years. Then, bitten by the bug again he dusted of his Fender P bass and jumped back on the horse, this time both performing in his new band - Full Tilt and running his new business Fatbluescat.com, an online music store and radio station dedicated to indie blues artists from around the world. Today finds Steve writting new songs and performing with friend and Eric Quincy Tate founding member Tommy Carlisle.

Extended

Band or Group:
The Tommy Carlisle Band
Favorite Lyric:

I could write a million songs about the things I've done, but I could never sing them so they'd never get sung, there's a law for the rich and one for the poor, and there's another one for singers, it's die young and live much longer, and spend your money and sit and wonder.

Working With Others

How I Work:

First off, I am a blues nut!
Blues is my passion.

I am not a "professional" musician but I am very professional when it comes to laying down a rock solid bass line. Please don't contact me if you need a line by the end of the day. (Unless it's a one, four, five standard blues line) I am a perfectionist and will want to give you the best I can offer.

I do not pop and sIap. (Unless you buy me dinner first :-)

I will work for free unless I get a ton of happy customers, in which case I will gouge the crap out of you later :-)

Experience:

Of and on about 10 years (most of that ,off)
Several blues bands,
just started writing my own stuff

Equipment:

Fender P-Bass,
Ampeg Rocket B-200R bass amp,
Eastwood Stormbird Guitar
and a pick

Hi, Steve! The slow blues sounds great! I have a very busy few weeks here, but would love to send you a track of some drums for it when I can get the time, possibly this weekend, but likely later. With a little patience, I think I can do something quite nice for it!
