Hi Everybody,
I'm Lawson Madlener, and I'm eleven years old. I've been playing the violin since I was three years old. I've taught myself to play the acoustic-guitar, electric-guitar, ukulele, and I am currently learning the mandolin. One day I want to play in Carnegie Hall.

Extended

Day Job:
I'm only 11 years old!

Working With Others

Experience:

I've been performing the violin all over Southern California since I was three. I don't want to brag, but I have won quite a few medals and ribbons, mostly through festivals hosted by the Music Teachers Association of California. One of the cool things I've experienced was being on a TV show called Real Orange. I was interviewed by Ed Arnold, and played my violin for him. I remember once, a few years ago, I was about to play in a contest. I started to walk up on to the stage, all confident, and dropped all my music!

Dear Lawson,
Thank you for the kind note. You are a very talented young man, and from what I have heard here, you no doubt will be playing Carnegie Hall very soon. I am very impressed already at your current ability, especially your tone and vibrato. Be an inspiration to other young people and never give up. Learn all you can, listen to your teachers and parents and keep your heart in the music. The Lord bless you and your family.

Congratulations, Lawson! Talent, hard work, perseverence, what more could a teacher want! M.G.H.

Very nice Lawson. I wish when I was only 10 years old I had the grasp of music as you do. Your arrangement and recording was very soothing. Good luck with the contest.
