Dimitri Vachaviolos

Dimitri was born in Sparti in 1987, and there he took his first music lessons. He studied theory and harmony of music and traditional instrument bouzouki. The next period of his life started in 2004, when he entered to department of music at Ionian University in Corfu as an undergraduate student. Some of the subjects that he has studied there were, theory, history, Analysis of music , Arts of Performance, Music technology e.t.c. He studied classical percussions too, with Dimitris Desyllas, Mpampis Talliadouros and Maxim Mankovski, and he had participated with the Ionian Univerity’s Orchestra in a Concert in Athens Music Hall, with works of Greek’s Composers Gianni Xristou and Hari Xanthoudaki. He focused his studies in computer music, Programming Computers in order to compose sound (sound design), to perform live electronics, and composing electroacoustic music with a variety of tools like KYMA X , Max/MSP e.t.c Except from these Dimitri was a Radio Broadcaster in Star fm of Corfu (www.star888.gr) for two years. At present he is in the last year of his studies in University and he is working for Planetworks practicing. His Next Expectations are to Study Sound Design in a postgraduate course, to compose music and make sound design for FILMS , MEDIA , DANCE and THEATRE. ..
