Heidiiii ... Cool stuff. Like you work. Pretty cinematic I must say. Your chord structure and arrangements remind me of prodigy. Keep up the good work. I have a few tracks, would love to have your feedback.

Hi Heidi, AMAZING, truly outstanding material you have produced here i'm very impressed. I love the live element and feel to the songs. You have great mixing ability, some of your songs sound like a complex mix so you have done very well to highlite all details of all your instruments. I love the choir voices on Changeling especialy the druid sounding male choir. Your sound design is so good one skill i'm still to grab hold of is pysical modelling synthesis and yours is truly outstanding. Love your work, and would love an opertunity to work with you in the future i feel like i would learn alot from your well groomed techniques and professional attention. Keep up the great work. Superb Stuff.

Economusic . wrote on January 13, 2009:

hey there!! Yeah love the new track!! It has a real FSOL sound of it!!!!! im working on something at the moment ill post up in a while but it would be cool to see what ya think.... im a bit lot with it!!

Keith M. wrote on January 11, 2009:

Hi, Just looking around and found your page. Your music definitely interests me. Great stuff.

Pete L. wrote on January 6, 2009:

Many thanks for your comments on my stuff - the second track is very unfinished but I really appreciate your words. The track name by the way - the lyrics that I'm working on are about teenage angst from the perspective of loved ones.

Cumulonimbus - I loved the start - really didn't like the synth that comes in after the bells - but then it grew on me. I'm not sure I agree with the other comments that say it is very abstract. It's not as accessible as mainstream pop for example but it's not so experimental to be hard work. I like it alot. - Pete

Josh Bisher wrote on January 4, 2009:

Hi, saw your post on the sound engineering group page, and well here I am! You definately do a nice job with composition (it is a bleek genre and usually gets me sleeping, but your's not bad like that). Anyway I have to say your music would pop with some reverbs and filters (personally I don't like alot of dead space in songs). I see that your work is well along the lines of what I am going for. How did you go about finding game companies, and film companies. I have alot f songs for video games films and Anime, but don't know how to get the exposure. If you can help it would be much appreciated. Oh yeah my page is kinda IDK filled with random songs that aren't even really finished, but if you would like I can share or session with you some film songs and video game songs. Up to you! Thanks- Josh

Hey heidi!! yeah had a listen to your new track!! Nice and abstract indeed!! Sounds like FSOL!! cool!!! would love to remix it for you!!!!!

Do1 R. wrote on January 3, 2009:

Pretty interesting work here...very abstract to me. I'll be interested when you upload new stuff...be sure to let me know...best of luck in 09

Joanna Sisk-Purvis wrote on January 3, 2009:

Thanks for the comments, Heidi! Let me know if you ever need a flutist (orchestral or ethnic), I loved your electronica!

Jü-frö Dave! wrote on January 3, 2009:

p.s. almost forgot - yea i dont really sing, although it'd be fun to try it out. but yea, thatd be sweet to find some awesome vocalists on here or myspace or somethin... and yea, try addin somethin. im always down for that. but i dunno if i'd lay down my own vocals - probly not

Jü-frö Dave! wrote on January 3, 2009:

ah yea it does need breaks, and that synth pad in the back needs to stay out for a while longer somewhere. and more changes, and some other voices in some parts. its def not done yet. itd be cool to post it up for a session or somethin sometime soon. especially for the part at the end, i should have that echoey line stay in while everything else fades out, and transition into another piece entirely. but yea, thats all on my to do list. speaking of to do list, yea i guess my new years resolutions could be quit smoking, work more on beats and be more responsible in general

Jü-frö Dave! wrote on January 3, 2009:

listined to a lil bit a both now, still listnin...like i like sao. im probably bout to put up a track of mine. its unfinished, but its just like a 2.5 or so min beat, but i finally thought of a title for it. hip-hoptimistic.

Albert Syeles wrote on January 2, 2009:

Howdy Heidi.
Happy New Year.
Some aggressive and interesting sounds here on Cumulonimbus. Thunder and lightning. The initial motif signals a synchopated continuum and you fulfill the promise. I love that. Very tribal. Nice use of pan to get depth. Some surprising change-ups too. Grate use of white space!
Love the title, but it's not evocative of the style. But then my "Snivet" isn't either. Good titles can be fun on their own.
Now we're back to dynamics. You asked for constructive criticism. I admire that. I'll give it a try. You could really improve this with some dramatic changes in volume. Not just between voices but within voices. Crescendo/decrescendo and dynamic punctuation - both postive and negative.
Without that, the piece doesn't go anywhere. It's interesting, but not emotional. It's not a trance piece which could get away with that as an appeal to youthful adrenaline. This is much more thoughtful, but not quite enough.
Great creativity. Now work on your technique.

Parry ( ) wrote on January 2, 2009:

Hey Happy 09 to you as well! So "Sao" definitely belongs in a suspense/horror movie scene...I can just feel the tension in the music, and it never really resolves, just like a film of the same theme. I really appreciate your abstract sound! Great Job, my friend! Keep me updated!

Hey!
Yup, NY was pretty chill. I've worked 20 out of the last 25 NYE's; didn't work this year - was in bed by 11:30. How was yours?
I'd be happy to drop by and take a listen and comment.
Have a good on yerself!
