Much like many of the other youth of today, Johnny Booth began as a group of college students looking for a release of their experimental energies. Starting in the frozen tundra of Oneonta New York, the band drew up a few songs looking to energize some local parties. Soon enough, they had a loyal following and kids willing to scream their hearts out along with crazed front man Andrew Herman. After finding that this band may "have something here", they recorded a self titled 5 song EP that awed listeners. Realizing their live show drew crowds to them (the band has been known to destroy drum kits, break guitars, and beat the blood out of themselves), the boys took their act to the road in the summer of 2009 and found that they were drawing a cult-esque following of hungry, energetic individuals. With the unique nature of the rhythm section (Steven DiModugno on bass and Adam Ingoglia on drums) and the long time friends who are not afraid to step outside the lines (Adam Halpern and Ryan Strong on guitars), Johnny Booth has seemingly found their stride. With a style of music blending their heavy metal, punk, psychedelic, and experimental tastes, Johnny Booth is sure to please a myriad of listeners.

Welcome to Indaba! Anyone Seth recommends as highly as he does you guys has to be pretty badass. Lovin' the contrast between "The Ill in Philly" and "Beneath the Pillars". Sweet range. Keep us posted on what you're working on.
