Howdy ya'll and evryone else!. Hey all you members old and new recent and charter, LETS PUT IT OUT shall we? I mean it's the second month of the new year here people and from what I have seen somebody's sandbagin'. Hey remeber the old saying about "He who hesitates?", Yeah well from personal expireince I can tell you sittin' on your hands wont get anything do (Music is funny like that it takes PARTICIPATION) now also frompersonal exp. I was "My worse critic" for a long time ,you know what the EAGLES " said right?" GET OVER IT".DO NOT WAIT for "the PERECT RIFF to come outta you.

What you really want to get outta you is all the crap( like I do) I mean TRY to put out YOUR BEST however SOMETHING sounds better (even if it's crap) Than NOTHING ! You get a thicker skin (not so sensitive to critisizm) after about the MILLIONTH time someone tells you (either to your face or by thier silence) you can't plpay (they ARE just jelous) what really matters is RIGHT NOW TODAY time is only on SIR MICK JAGGER"S side.The rest of us gottaDO the dives and jam until your fingers bleedstarving for your art aint pretty but HEY YOU CAN MAKE PEOPLE HEAR YOU ,when you TRY.So go ahead regiter here and start uploading stuff tonight !and if your already a member WHATS your story? Well,HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I'd like to send "this" out to anyone who (yes I have felt)has face a gnawing self depreiciating(a nice way to say puttin yerself down) feeling that in the stuggle for "Originality"at times has felt like a futile effort. What makes this an under diagnosed and overrated emotion is this. You turn on a radio an MP3 CD or anyother media player and there are such fantastic works being played in SOOO many methods means and GENRE`s how aNYBODY HASEN'T STOPPED AND SAID ,

HOWdo they make it new? ... ... ... I do not have the answer ( well I got an idea ) but my point is KEEP TRYING ! The big secret is this (don't tell anyone) the people have a short memory,sorry but it's true) AND!!!!!!! eventually the "KIDS" who were wee little ones when (so many examples ) Miles Davis (IS/WAS ?) running into the "DUES paying of his career,Or Sir Elton John Before his Knighting.will be right in that time of life that brings this blog to it's point and end, Hang in there stay strong ,BELIVE, "It's cool babe just say it YOUR way". Hello fellow indabites! I was sittin' here listening to some of the great music here,and it struck me that perhaps some of you,Members of Indabamusic.com may not be aware of the ONE.The one person who for whatever reason couldn't carry a tune in a bucket if they had help.You know who I mean they are the people who can 1) play the stereo or play thier cd's or thier MP3's. These folks who pay to hear the music that gets them through their dull day in day out lives depend onYOU yes YOU the creative ones who make the music that somebody somewhere goes YES ! Thats what I needed ! There is a phrase that you don't hear too much anymore AVANT GARDE`and in the interest of brvity I'll just say that YOU The guy or girl who is sittin there right now thinking that what you keep hearing in your head (that riff or melody that wont go away ) might not be what EVERYBODY ELSE wants to hear .You are wrong .Because somewhere in the back of the group that ONE PERSON will hear that work that you had the courage to lay down here on indaba and then through whatever Graces make it so that ONE PERSON hears it and SHABAM!!! their whole life is good and YOU who came up with that riff or melody and put it up here on Indaba and then somebody elese adds to it until SHABAM!!! it's the complete version of what that ONE PERSON needed to hear. so create young and old musicians fearlessly GIVE from your HEARTS ,because there is somebody out there who CAN'T (create) but who will hear it on their radioor bootleg  or their MP3 player a copy they got from a friend and who knows it might be something YOU started.

And remember though you may not hear it someone is waiting to appreciate what you might have thought no one would like,If you give from your heat I garuntee thereis someone elese who will be glad you did.so to you from them and me Thank you .

I would like to thank the people of Indaba (all) and those musicians who have allowed me to participate on their works. 28 actual by my count though the list at my studio shows a few more ( not counting my personal works) bu there were some I could add nothing to therefore I don't count them,not that this may mean anything to anyone save moi` I have enjoyed (immensely) the collaborrations ( some I feel real good about others I will continue to work on as long as allowed) and feel a part of something bigger than my self for which I owe all of you a debt of gratitude. I have reached the allotment limit thus far for the month so that will be all for now (uploads) but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to tell all of you,the staff and tech's as well as the FELLOW Indabite's how very special you are and have made me feel. Through the works and messages I have gained contact with people I would otherwise never have come to knowmuch less have the chance to "play music " with( though be it online) the vast expanse of miles alone ( I have a contact whom resides in Russia ) would have prevented me from doing(in the pre Indaba times) anything other than filling my own hard drive with one sided works and a sense of aloneness that ,well you get the picture .Now with Indaba I have shared more than I ever thought was possible and have FREINDS , who share a COMMONALITY, MUSIC . Thank you one and all .Lets keep the creativity flowing INDABA ROCKS !   I am a humble and GRATEFUL shovel8mo diggin the world a lot more thanks to INDABA!

It's amazing the different ways we all go about "Healing our inner outter and all around selfs "classic example,Scotch on the rocks " after a hrad days work.

A Highball. #2 reading ,the news paper ,after work! I was just uploading a ditty I call four part meltdown ( under the title of OPEN TIME) and I honestly feel as though I should call it therapy (INDABA) for as tightly wrapped as that bit of ??? work was is ,I feel completely refreshed and repletedas though Ihad just returned form

a session with a shrink. well you know the saying right, "I'd rather have a full bottle in fornt of me than a FULL FRONTAL LOBOTOMY"  Cheers and as always I'll digaround here an see if I can come up with any thing worth while,

Hey I just wanted any "first timers here to know that ,like you I too had some difficulty at frist ,uploading and ( still mixing) however once I got the hang of it (finding some free mp3 recording software helped)(go to c-net downloads .com it's there you just have to be patient and keep looking or know the name of what you want .

I have been skimming through some of the "new" music comming up here and I am excited about all the possabilities tyhe new members bring with them keep it up! creativity ! upload upload upload!
