Growing up in the Northwest Territories in a small town called Fort Liard with a population of only 550, you wouldn't think Music of the Hip-Hop and Rap Genre's would make it that far in the 80's. But for me, I had my ear to the underground even at the age of only 7. Listening to such classic Groups as 2live crew, KRS-1, Public Enemy, NWA, Iced Tea, Digital Underground and the etc.. I was deep into it, even when many people around me had distaste for it, I choose to embrace it.
Growing up, their was only a few who enjoyed listening to it with me, and even later when dance music started to become the craze and I started DJ'n Dances by alias's of DJIsaac, and DJShaggy still few embraced the hip-hop and Rap genre's. Throughout High School the same continued, finding more people interested in Country Music then what I enjoyed..
But dont get me wrong I enjoy music of every genre. But am naturally drawn to others more strongly.
Id always dabbled in Freestyle Rap, and used to write quite a bit. I enjoy writing very much and have produced a few short stories that I hope to have published, so naturally all my songs end up telling a tale of one thing or another, not just that mindless repetitiveness that is found so often in main stream media. I guess the same can me said for most of the genres.
I continued to freestyle around with the guys I hung out with, while we drank and walked around.. building on each others energy's and at that time I had already collected so many instrumentals that busting a rap was as easy as pushing play on a fresh beat. At that time I had no real want nor need to record anything that we were doing.. It was just an enjoyable thing to do..
I later moved down to Edmonton to be near my kinds but still missed my home town a lot.. Then about a year ago I started to think about it recording for fun. Just a few weeks after that My neice was surfing You Tube and was playing a awesome rap tune.. At the time I had no idea who it was but it had this instinct sound to it. This sound of Fort Liard. It was a young brother whom grew up and started recording with his friends, and they came out with some hot shit. His name is Prospek, and was rapping with some other native brothers such as Lonechild and Ghozt.
I thought to myself Fucking A, they are representing... why arnt I? We did it so often while drinking. Why don't I make a few tracks and represent my home.. And so I started writting. and recording, and I had all the joy that freestyle with my boyz brought me. A little bit of home away from home...
Then I found the problem of Editing my stuff, which I had absolutely no experience in. and it pissed me off, and pissed me off so much that I started to hate it... and it started to push me away.. I learned some patience and continued to try, but untill I can save up enough for a real mic, and a good Editing program such as ProTools I am afraid that there is only so much i can do, and because of it my music lacks, and does not have that finished feel...
So now I am here. making music with legit beats, and trying to find that thing that my music needs.. people to share it with, and people to help my build up lasting musical friendships...

- How I Work:
I own my stuff
First I get the instrumental, or the example Track, listen to it over and over and over, trying out different flows. Then I rough draft write my bars, Rough Voice Track it up. then decide what I am going to stick with remove..
At this point I usually upload a example Track to see if that is what the session owner wants, and if so I go from there.. Removing, adding Bars depending on what I like or dont like.. Then when I am finished with the bars I try to do Fresh Voice Tracks by Bars so that whom ever will edit it all will have what they need..
If no one is available to edit my work then I do it with my limited know how and I try my best... I give respect where respect is do, and I accredit anyone whom adds to it...
