Genres:
alternative country, electronica, popular, rhythm and blues (r&b)
Influences:
Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Wynonna Judd, The Wreckers, Patsy Cline, Evanescence

I can't play any instruments, but I can sing just about anything. I love listening to others creations and giving their songs voices by writing lyrics.

Extended

Band or Group:
Kristen Castillo
Favorite Lyric:

"If we're alone together, then are we really alone"--Me (Kristen Castillo) lyric from Alone

Day Job:
College Student/ Full Time Mom

Working With Others

How I Work:

I like to take compositions that are needing lyrics and write the lyrics to fill in the blanks. I also like to sing--so if you have lyrics I'm here to sing or I can write lyrics and sing. I only work at night, because I take care of my boys during the day and I attend college online.

Experience:

I have been writing seriously since I was 16, was working with Westblake Productions/One Mind Music when I was younger and I would love to work with them again! I took vocal lessons at Aiken High School for four years--yes it was a class, but the teacher was demanding and always strived for excellence--you had to audition to get in that class and I made it all four years!

Equipment:

MXL 990 condenser mic, cakewalk, and pop filter. I also have a Korg M50 88 key that I am currently learning how to use.

Hi, how are you? If you like When love leaves, don't miss my new track - ambient remix of Memphis (I cant post link here, you can find it in my profile in Collaboration) ;) Thanks for listening.

Hi honey, i hear you have, like, 8 more kids or something, right??!! Hope all is well with you and the family. Steve is working me real hard at the moment but I'd love to be in on the resurrected Fatal Heart. You know that sessions have a limited lifespan now? Gives you a bit more incentive to finish it i s'pose.
Anyhow, just toss me an invite and we'll nail this sucka.
Love, If

yeah that is me, from last year, and thanks it took me awhile to do it

Alex Reis wrote on March 1, 2009:

Yeah exactly, that "chugg" part lol. I still have it, but you asking me for it made me want to polish up a bit... I'll work on it this morning and then upload to the session I guess. Then I'll let Steve decide what to do with it

Alex Reis wrote on February 28, 2009:

Hey there! Yeah I've been following the song for a while now, and was looking forward to hear your vocals on it. They seem to be a very good match. I'm glad you missed the heavy rhythm parts I had added before the bass was put in, but the song owner didn't seem to like them, so I kinda let go off it.

Jamie Roberts wrote on February 28, 2009:

Thanks :) It's really hard for me to get that kind of tone.

BASICK .. wrote on February 26, 2009:

- FELSITE - wrote on February 13, 2009:

Wow Kristen....is this your first time doing something like this?....if so, you are a complete natural....WELL DONE!!!!!
All it needs is a couple of big meaty chorus's thrown in and it will be a fantastic synth pop song. Katy Perry stylee.
