About Me

Skill Level:

I am a LONG-TIME guitarists (over 40 years). I had sort of put my guitars aside for quite a while. I heard my son Jason play at a pub here in Dayton, Ohio and I got re-inspired. I picked up my olde axe and bought a new one or two. By the way, I am fixing to buy another guitar (stratocaster) a la George Bush when I get my economic incentive. I even set up a myspace page at: (http://www.myspace.com/sirrahned) Now I am having a blast. A strange fact is that shortly after I set up my myspace page a guy I played in a band with in 1965 saw my page and he called me. He was our drummer. Now he is a friend on my myspace page. (Awesome) I am now playing as a guitarist in coffeeshops and small venues. I guess that makes me a professional guitarist again. My songs are by ear only and like my favorite guitarist (Chet Atkins) used to say, "all my notes are a matter of guessin".

Wow! Your "pickin" has really improved since you and played together in the early 90's. I'm so glad to hear you and Jason playing. I miss the times we played at your church and also when our families would get together and you and I would play a little. Hopefully I can get back into playing. Looking forward to hearing more.
