Hello, friends! I just discovered Indaba through the Yo-Yo Ma contest, and it opens up a whole new world for me. I have played guitar for exactly 50 years (got my first instrument under the Christmas tree on Dec. 25, 1958), in every style you can think of, but was most influenced by the folk/blues/ragtime wave that hit my home town of Cambridge,Mass. in the early '60's. I now teach and perform in Prague, Czech Republic, both solo and in a jazz duo with Czech pianist Martin Kratochvil (lots of CD's released on Bonton and Sony/BMG). Solo, I play a lot in a "semi-open" tuning: C G D G A D, which inspires me to new and open harmonies. I'll be gradually adding new pieces here, some on 12-string and 7-string as well.
