My Songs
- Skill Level:
- Semi-Pro
- Craft:
- session musician, composer
- Instruments:
- electric guitar, electric bass, keyboard, drums
- Influences:
- Pat Martino, Scott Henderson, Allan Holdsworth, Abba, Scritti Politti, Talk Talk
I am an amateur musician from Denmark, now living in Finland. I have spent awful lot of time practicing guitar and drums, and based on that I can kind of fake electric bass. Can't sing, so I am particularly interested in working with vocalists.
- How I Work:
I prefer adding instruments to tracks that already have a solid idea and a structure. The recording can be very primitive, that is not a problem, but the intent behind it must be obvious. I am not interested in sessions that consist of a short riff and nothing else. The bottom line is that I am more useful as a session musician than as a collaborator in the composing stage.
- Experience:
I played drums in the 80s in Denmark, and guitar in the UK in the 90s. On the drums I was into funk with Steve Gadd as my main influence. On the guitar I started playing jazz standards with the local bands in Southampton when I moved to the UK in 1991. I have practiced both drums and guitar for literally thousands of hours. I now concentrate mainly on the M3 guitar (a 7-string tuned in major thirds).
- Equipment:
In short: DAW with lots of guitars and e-drums. For those who are into serial numbers: DAW Sonica Hush-Extreme. Sequencer software: EnergyXT, Reason, Sonar, Tracktion. Guitar effects: Amplitube and Guitar Rig. E-drums: TrapKat and Korg padKONTROL with Toontrack Superior libraries. Guitars: lots, including two Line6 Variax (one bass and one guitar). MIDI gear: Ztar MiniZ

awesome drums on that track. voted for you, if you decide to listen to mine let me know what you think or vote if you'd like.
Hot drums on the Mariah remix, Kirkeby! They're slammin', especially the *thwap* of that snare! Is that claps, or a snare bottom mic, mixed in underneath the snare in the chorus? Tight! Comment back on my POP/ROCK remix when you get a chance, thanks! Good luck! - Spikey Jay

Funny... do you have a page on DMusic? I was looking for a guitarist for my big band chart, and stumbled upon you here, and I remember the band name! I've grooved many a time to "Winter Nights"... nice to see you here.
