I recently participated in creating one of two new soundtracks for the classic horror film _The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari_ with others in the Chain-Tape Collective, and the result has been released under a Creative Commons license. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ A downloadable DVD-quality version of the silent film with the new soundtracks is available from archive.org. This version contains both soundtracks in a single file, and requires either QuickTime Pro or VLC ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc ). http://www.archive.org/details/Caligari_AnExquisiteCorpse Versions with each soundtrack encoded separately can be downloaded for QuickTime or Windows Media formats.
