Been producing amateur stuff for approx 7 years, use Propellerhead Reason chiefly after a friend recommended I should try to produce as I already played guitar quite well and was getting more and more into electronic stuff. Trying to get a moment to do this stuff is difficult now but the older I get the more I realise that whether I'm any good or not I will be doing music stuff til the day I die because it is something I love. If you get a listen to something you like by Me then please feel free to contact Me if you want parts or whatever.
Peace

- Favorite Lyric:
generally try to avoid lyrics because just like your dreams, your opinions can change once you see enough of the world, will tolerate most lurvesongs because at least it's a constant (or as close as we may ever have in this world to a constant)
- Day Job:
- IT Analyst
- How I Work:
I'll know what's good enough to make cash and agree terms with anyone then, other than that I'm for the love of the sport
- Experience:
My whole life listening to and analysing music, played guitar since bout '91, using reason avidly since about July 2001, using Cubase for about 3 years
- Equipment:
Dex/mixer, Akai MPK 49 (the dogs bollocks), Propellerheads Reason, Record and ReCycle!!! I'm pretty everpresent on the Propellerhead forums under the moniker Lowlifebware (terrible I know, been meaning to change it for a while now).
KRK VXT 8 Monitors, keep the mix interesting, just like no listener fatigue at all. Next buy will be Celemony Melodyne DNA if it lives up to the hype, and recently scored NI Reaktor.Guitar wise I play an Epiphone Les Paul, prefer the warmth to the Gibson's, and running into the comp via a Toneport UX1, which is the coolest gadget ever!!

I don't really use that much nowadays,
But I am gettin my head down and preparing to lay down some bars over some sick beats,
I'm also in the middle of forming my own record label, so quite abit going on at the minute with high hopes for the future,
When I get an official site up and running along with various social networking sites I'll be sure to let you know ;)

Hey Brian, loved the Mariah Carey Mixes by the way! Check out my page, I just added a live mix from New Year's Eve. I spun at a party in PDX @ MuMu's - Quite proud of myself acctually! Hope you like!
well you can put it up or send it. It doesnt really matter to me. my email address is ak_47_05@hotmail.com.
I was thinking of some sort of type of house, but im sorta leaning more on something like acid house. I got a 808 drum pack that i just got and want to put it out for a test drive.
yo Brian..thnx for the comment on once upon a lullaby..i like your idea..i was trying to pull it of somehow but it just didnt get the right soundz...even though...i love disco/80's music..just uploaded a track called established since 1984...and a whole bunch of new tracks too...
enjoy..IDJN
Thanks for the comment and vote Briain... much appreciated... Yeah the art of spam, is something we are quickly having to learn!:)
Congrats on the little one, nothing compares to that I'm sure... you should do a remix - I'd be interested to hear it, so please do let us know.
Hope you're nights aren't too sleepless! :)
take it easy
Easy Brian - Sorry for spamming you out the blue mate, but we need some love from fellow heads who are into DnB. I know your tune is garage... which is heavy by the way
Seen you posting comments on quite few peeps profiles, so was hoping to get your vote\feedback for our remix of The Roots, if you think its worthy? We're just trying to represent the UK massive and show these yanks what DnB is all about (emphasis on trying)!!
If you feeling what we've done with the remix, we'd appreciate your vote bro. It's kinda old skool, so not sure if you're into that?? Anyway, anything you could do to help would be appreciated (and not forgotten).
P.S. how comes you didn't enter the Roots contest... I like your production style and the competition could have done with a Garage entry?
Cheers
thanks for your comments- nice mix going on here. sorry 4 delay - i'm rite bizzy in the analogue world at present, but i'd love to team up at some point (2011 s looking good...)
cheers
max
I luv what u did with the vocals, Its a real nice job bro. Have you got some of your own works that you could up load onto Indaba, I would be keen to here your music. Peace
Hey, Thanks for the comment.
Yeah, you can hit me up about the mixing or mastering anytime, or visit my website at;
www.online-mixing-and-mastering.com and send me an email from the Contact page.
Giood luck in the remix contest.
Thx Mate!
I've been using Reason 4.0 , but the recording quality is rubbish because i use audacity to record what i upload onto this site.
Sorry i couldn't vote for you. I already voted for someone.
Thanks for the comment. Your mix is creative. I like the way you used her voice. Some other club/trance songs in the contest aren't as good as yours. Some parts or her verse I wished fitted more, but I know it was hard to make it fit the beat. Good Job tho, good luck...
I've have a set of Event 20/20 BAS speakers for years and they're still alive and kicking. One of the things I truly enjoy about them is the tweakability. There's separate LF trim/HF trim/and input volume pots that you can change with a small precision screwdriver. They're front-ported and will blow your head off if you're not careful. The one thing I don't like is their weight. They are beasts. One thing I highly recommend for any project studio owner is the MoPAD Isolation Pads by Auralex. I picked them up for around $40 US for a set of two (which includes two wedges for different angles). It makes a huge difference in how they sound. Since they sit on a desk, they're now isolated from the desk which is attached to the wall, which is attached to ceiling joists, which is attached to the floor.
Hi Brian,
thanks alot!
Yeah your re-mix is great, very interesting
Momo-J.
Hi Brian-thanks for listen to our minitek rmx-cool :-) Hey,you did a very cool careyrmx(very cool-your beat is damn tight Brian-so I have to be honest:we have already voted in the careycontest-BUT:your carey rmx is defently some of the best I've heard-so we have no vote to give-but you get my RESPECT Brian..keep it up Boiii..did you hear our carermx on ourFLOYBOX page??/Nick FB
That is one crazy cool remix, Brian, especially in regards to the vocals. I like the processing you did to the vocals in the verse - not only does it add a nice effect, it also changes up the rhythm a little bit from what was originally sung, which is a nice creative addition to the song! All of the glitch elements you've incorporated keep the song alive, and almost spontaneous, which keeps the listener's attention. The transition at 2:55 sounds really nice man when the chorus vocals come back in. In general, for the mix you've created, you've composed and programmed some very fitting and cool-sounding transitions. Nice job!! It's very refreshing to hear a remix that has been taken in a whole other new direction! Let me know what you think about my remix too! Thanks! - Spikey
Hey Brian,Thanks for the comments on my mix, and for checking out some of my other tracks. All the other tracks on my page are original tracks, all sequenced from scratch on my Roland XP-80 (except Glory of War) , no loops at all.
Yours is awesome, love the overall flavor of it, completely different than the other remixes. Hope to hear more of your work, since you only have the Mariah track on your profile!
Best,
Christopher
great remix man... realy cool approuch.. got this realy dub feel to it... u got my vote
It does but i do use other programs too. I make the loops in Reason and export into soundforge if neccessary. THen I arrange in Acid as it can handle all the audio you can throw at it. I also use vst soft synths for some of the basslines. Wanna work on something? Can send you the mariah mix slowed down if you like or as a wav and you can slow it down your end? Let me know. Thanks
Toby K
Thanks for the comment. I can drop it by any bpm you like and you can use it in your set if you like! Which mix though? Let me know if youre interested in doing somethinand ill send you the track as an mp3. Get in touch and well suss something out?
Toby K
