Sourav Mahanta(sourave jyoti mahanta),a singer,composer and music programmer born in Guwahati Assam,North East INDIA to set of excellent musicians.He is from a musical family,born and brought up in a musical environment,Naturally,he has the right sense to feel sound and silence.He is doing his Indian Classical trainings as well as the North Eastern folk songs and Devotional song from the different respective well known scholars.He has completed the five years degree course on music and achieved the degree "B.Mus"{VISHAROD in Tabla(a popular and ancient lather instrument of India),Hindustani Classical(VOCAL),KHOL(an ethnic instrument)}.He is learning music everyday from the nature and the surrounding people.According to Sourav,music is the only way to get connected with god.Music is simply the learning process to have a communication with God..and he is in search of a phoenix of music to communicate the human being through this universal language.
INTEREST….I like to travel, I like to have the different foods of different taste, I like all the positive thinkers, generally i eat music, drink music and sleep music .Every folk songs of this world, basically i love the tone of the Irish folk instruments like Bouzouki, Banjo, Uileann pipes, fiddle, Harmonica etc.I Love and sometime use to play Mouthorgan..just learning...I love one more popular genres of music, namely...Fusion,Jazz-Fusion.Really i do listen and enjoy it very much

love to do music in a cool and noiseless atmosphere,in friendly manner with the co-musicians and technicians,love energetic sleepless nights with whom i use to do music or i wish to do music..

A self composed Debut album "SMRITI",a regional Assamese language album released in 2004(An Indian regional language).Rendered the background score for a few regional films.Have experienced a few musical tour Nationally and within the State,Presently busy with some world ambient music..and in search of a Production banner house
