Calling on Angels

About Me

Skill Level:
Amateur
Instruments:
acoustic guitar, electric guitar
Genres:
acoustic, easy listening
Influences:
Switchfoot, Hillsong United, Incubus, Jack Johnson, Thrice

Love making music and the fellowship that goes along with playing with other people as well. I'm all about finding interesting and melodic guitar and vocal parts, and all for creativity. I would like to find an acoustic partner sometime that is similar in style to me to play with and write songs together. I love talking about music too, so shoot me a message if you ever have any questions or comments!

Working With Others

How I Work:

I enjoy working with other musicians in a casual way and with people that are similar minded. I love writing songs that can be enjoyable for other people with down to earth lyrics. I love finding cool acoustic guitar backing and adding leads to compliment them. I love hearing unique and unpredictable melodies. Anyone musically talented and compatible I would like to get a chance to play with!

Experience:

I was given the opportunity to lead guitar for the worship band at my church for about a year. As the old worship leader resigned, I was asked to take over and gained experience leading the worship band (for almost two years now) which has been totally awesome and brought new challenges and learning. I've been writing music for less than a year and thoroughly enjoy doing so! I got a chance to play at Saddleback Church for (roughly) 250 people which was an awesome opportunity as well. My favorite thing, though, is meeting like minded people with a passion for making good music.

Equipment:

Guitars -
Ibanez Zebrawood acoustic guitar, Schecter C1 Hellraiser (Lame choice), Ovation Celebrity Shallow Bowl (another lame choice) and a good ol' Fender Squier.

Amps - Spider III 75 watt, Crate 50 watt acoustic.

Mics - Rode Nt1-a (good choice, finally!)

Interface - Presonus Firebox

Software - Cubase LE 4

Yeah it was all done in Reason. I've got some mixing and editing experience up my sleeve. I've never mastered anything, but I'm working on learning about it.

Hey I listened to some of your songs of myspace and I like your style a lot. I especially like Jesus Payed It All. Did you write it?

Yeah man, I'd be game to give something a shot. I don't really have any music in the works at the moment.. You could check out the website I have posted for some stuff I've done lately.
