About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Craft:
producer, composer
Instruments:
harmonica, Keyboard (All)
Genres:
Hip-Hop, house, drum and bass, breakbeat, chill-out, soundtrack
Influences:
Air, Jamiroquai, Bjork, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Daft Punk, Marvin Gaye, D'Angelo

I've been producing for about 10 years. Having been involved with music since I could talk I've been in many bands throughout my life. At the age of 15/16 I started using acid then Reason. I quickly fell in love with writing and I find it's addictive nature to be a driving force in itself. I've had a couple of releases in the form of collaborations with my brother Matt aka. Logistics.

I'm still fighting committing to Drum and Bass as a genre because I feel my heart lies elsewhere. My relaxed nature leads my to focus on thought provoking and somber styles in most of my music. That's not to say that I can't write a banger but I get more pleasure out of making people smile with my compositions.

I've dabbled in soundtrack work and the odd remix but I'll happily admit that I'm a perfectionist. This has been the one factor holding me back and one I'm looking to overcome.

Please listen and enjoy my music. Rate it, criticize it but let me know what you think. I'm always looking for vocalists to work with and am open to collaborations. Feel free to contact me any time.

Thanks for reading this waffle.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I happy to discuss fees for remixes and commissions depending on the job. Mostly though, I'm here to meet people and get feedback.

Experience:

I've been producing for more than 10 years. I've had experience in bands since the age of 13 and have played several major gigs.

I've dabbled in soundtrack and soundman work in short films and documentaries.

I'm mostly producing downtempo/hiphop/house/DnB at the moment but I'm happy to try new styles if something grabs me.

I've had a couple of collaborations out on Hospital Records and I have a few potential releases in the pipeline.

Equipment:

I use a MacBook Pro and Reason 4. I'll also be jumping on Propellerhead's Record in September.

Hardware wise I'm not too demanding. I have an Alesis Micron and a pair of Bheringer Truths. Thats all I need and all I want for now.

That's all I need for now. Good music isn't a measure of kit.

Thanks for the nice comment on my CM remix. Hope you weren't too disappointed by what I have posted in my profile. Virtually no production on those tracks yet. I don't usually share unfinished work, but I felt stupid commenting on other's work without have any representation of my own. Just seemed unfair.

Your tracks are really polished. Projection especially. Very mature, confident track.

I like your remix of shine 4u. I checked out some of your tracks as well, but I'm a bigger fan of the remix. Your compositions are too downtempo for me. If you have a chance I made a really awesome original uptempo remix of shine 4u and if you have the time maybe you could check it out!
