I play guitar, bass, and other stringed instruments including some 3-string lutes from Morocco. I can also do an above average job on drums and a wide assortment of hand drums and percussion. I've listened to and studied alot of world folk musics.
I'm skilled at slide guitar. I use standard tuning because it's easy for me to play a wider variety of music. Generally I like heavy rock these days.

- How I Work:
I tend to go by feel and strive for soulful or energetic over precise or techincal. I enjoy and am interested in participating in a wide variety of music. I prefer original music with an edge. I like to contribute ideas for others to work with.
- Experience:
I have over 20 years on guitar
- Equipment:
early 70's Ampeg V4 and a '65 Gibson Falcon. A few great cabinets with excellent speakers. A '69 Gibson SG Special, '77 Ibanez Custom Agent Les Paul Copy, '79 Ibanez ST-50, and some newer roundndeck dobro guitar with a neck repair that plays well. A modest selection of nice effects, and a Micromoog synth.
For home recording I use various mics > a mackie 1402VLZ > Tascam USB122 soundcard > my laptop

Aloha Robert, good to see you around here ... I've just joined, I will figure it out :-) What projects are you into these days?
What I like about your playing is that it has "FEEL". I saw Jimi in 1967 and he was all about the feel. I'd like to hear more.
have you seen her is tight man. You've got some soul in that - great guitar sound, cool drums... wish I could hear them better.

Sounds like fun! I've been writing, jamming and recording some songs (originals and covers), blues mostly, on my laptop and looking forward to making some progress on my album... hanging around here may help with that!
