I'll listen to endless genres of music as long as it's good. I love producing, especially adding extra instrumental tracks. I think a good knowledge and respect for music and theory is the best tool a producer and a musician can have.
I'm trained in music theory and grew up playing the piano, going on to all sorts of different instruments (see incomplete list). I like complexity in my music, but I think it's important to balance it.
I co-run Aequo Animo Distribution, a small distro for helping musicians and listeners reach each other. I also do production and session work and play in various bands.
My motto: "Everything is Balance".
- How I Work:
I'm extremely flexible (in the non-physical sense). I'd like to help musicians who need a good producer to listen to what they want, take their raw recordings, and mix and arrange them to the musician's specifications. It's my dream to one day own a studio and produce professionally.
Music is my number-one passion, so for the most part, I'll work for free. I just want to help make the best music the best I can.
- Experience:
Formal training in classical and jazz piano, as well as music theory. I've composed the scores for several professional plays and played in a few bands. I have also co-produced for local artists.
- Equipment:
Casio CTK-5000, a jazz bass, a p-bass, an acoustic guitar, amplifiers, top-of-the-line recording and production software (Cakewalk, Cubase, Protools, and Fruity Loops, mostly), and a fleet of various obscure instruments. The Casio serves mainly as a MIDI controller.
