Andrew Bowers is an award-winning composer, producer and DJ specializing in Drum 'n' Bass, Trip-Hop, and Mashups. He mixes sets that sound like 2manyDJs hijacked one of Dr. Dre's samplers that's being haunted by the ghost of Frank Zappa, while his original works sound more akin to Massive Attack masturbating to a porn directed by Portishead, staring Rob Dougan and Amy Lee. He has the uncanny ability to listen to one song and hear five others. If you're looking for a performance DJ who brings the creative energy of a rock-star, he's your man.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I work primarily independently, usually having other artists supply me with sample packs of the songs they wish to have remixed. I am curious about trying new methods of collaboration.

Experience:

"Stationary Vibrations" was my first album consisting of original work and remixes of other artists, released in 2003. Since then I have been producing fan-made remixes of songs from video-game soundtracks, and I have been producing and releasing mash-ups for the fun of it since 2008. I have been approached only once to create an official remix for another artist.

Equipment:

Ableton Live 8, Dance eJay 5, Dell Latitude D630, DigiTech RP200A Artist Modeling Guitar Processor, Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar, Marshall MS Series 30 DFX Guitar Amplifier, Mixman DM2: Digital Music Mixer, M. Hohner Marine Band Harmonica, MOTU Ultralite
Reason 3.0, SHURE M44G Cartridge and Stylus, Technics Quartz Direct Drive Turntable System SL-1210M5G, Techno eJay 2, Yamaha FG730S Acoustic Guitar
