Are WE Having Fun YET?

Friday August 17, 2007 at 12:01 AM

How come nobody's tracks are in time to the player console? I've seen a ton of sessions, and the console is almost always at 120 bpm and the tracks people put up are hardly ever that tempo.... Doesn't the console store the BPM in the session? is it that hard to get the click lined up with the beat? Does anybody care? Are we having fun yet? And Yet I Love, Vern

Hey Vernon,

Just wanted to respond to your question about BPM in the Session Console... We are working on making this more clear and understand the confusion but right now the BPM is for the metronome. You have to set the BPM to whatever tempo your track is at and then it should be easy to get it to line up. If people don't input the BPM then it will display, by default, 120bpm and that's what the click will play when you turn the metronome on. I, too, hope people will start inputting the correct BPM for the session to make it easier for others but we're looking at more ways to make this obvious.

As always thanks for your support. If any other issues like this come up please let me know, we're pushing new code every day to make the site better but we need everyone's help in identifying what to make better!

Take care,
Dan
