I have been a practicing attorney in New York for the past 21 years. For a good portion of that time I worked as a litigator in the entertainment world, with a sort of subspeciality in representing musicians fighting record labels. The best part of the work was getting to know the musicians; the worst part of the job was dealing with the fact that musicians tend to make terrible business people. I am now very happily working as the sole in-house source of legal support for Katzenbach Partners LLC, a management consulting company closely aligned with Indaba.
