I am a classically trained soprano with a background in piano. I also was a molecular biologist in my past life, and I am enthusiastic about the idea of fusing science and music both philosophically and technically. I was stricken with a rare version of Bell's Palsy, which left the right side of my face partially and permanently paralyzed. Unfortunately, it halted what was a very productive operatic career (alas, understandably, vanity has value in that genre). However, I have a love for concert/art song repertoire and I am hoping to continue the art that I love in other mediums beyond opera. I feel, like science, the greatest leaps happen in collaboration not in isolation, and I hope to connect with other musicians to get to the next level.
