Jeff Healey - Canadian award winning Blues/Jazz guitarist passed away in Toronto on Sunday March 2, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Healey was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (retinalblastoma) when he was only one year old. He subsequently lost his sight. At three years old he took up guitar. The 'Jeff Healey Band' achieved platinum record sales in the United States with the 1988 record 'See The Light'. During his all too short career he shared the stage with musicians such as George Harrison, B.B. King, and SRV.

This is an approximation of the main guitar solo in the song BADGE. BADGE was written by Eric Clapton and George Harrison, and was played by 'The Cream' (Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker) when Eric Clapton was transitioning from exceptional guitarist to 'frontman', doing vocals as well. The name apparently originated from Clapton reading George Harrison's notes regarding the song and misreading 'bridge' as 'badge'. What transpired in conversation after that is not clear .... but the unintentional song name remained.
