Simone Giuliani, better known as 4MuLA, is a music composer and producer active in the music industry for the past thirteen years. Born in Florence, Italy, he pursued studies of Jazz Piano & Improvisation with Stefano Bollani and Ray Santisi, piano teacher of Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett, at Berklee Music Schools Clinics and later enrolled at The Juilliard School studying Orchestration.
He moved to London at the end of the 90s where he embraced the stage-name 4MuLA and started touring with Psychic Phenomena, a 10-pieces organic hip-hop ensemble opening among others for The Roots and Groove Collective. He co-produced R&B/Soul collective Global Soul Movement and started collaborating with Mercury Awards-nominated producer Drew Horley (TY, Natalie Williams, Bugz In The Attic, Roots Manuva), a friendship that still lasts to this day.
In 2000 he moved to the United States and gave birth to two simultaneous music projects: Racoon and Lazybatusu. They appeared in more than 90 compilations released worldwide (Cafe' Del Mar, Glucklich, Hed Kandi, MTV Lounge, Supperclub) and reached the Top 10 Music Chart in iTunes Music Store for Electronic music with their album “00.03”only one week after its release.
4MuLA is also running Emunity Records, an independent record label focusing on future-lounge, nu-jazz and ambient soundscapes.
In 2004 he moved to New York where he started a solid music partnership with Brazilian arranger/composer Ze Luis Oliveira, collaborator of Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Bebel Gilberto, Tania Maria and Brazilian Girls with whom he composed the music for the movie “A Raisin In The Sun” featuring Sean P. Diddy Combs and John Stamos.
4MuLA also composed the theme for CBS News (Logo/VH1), Naomi Campbell Biography on E! Entertainment Tonight and the original soundtrack of the short movie "Little Gold Men".
In 2007 he started collaborating as Digital Audio Editor with Monterey Jazz Festival Records/Concord Music Group with Grammy Award-winner Jason Olaine working on the releases of Miles Davis Quintet, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong and Tito Puente.
He is currently recording and producing 'Sambismo' a new project with Ze Luis and Beco Dranoff.

Whoa I am beyond impressed I read your profile after I auditioned( probably best since now I know at what level I am looking UP to) It's funny because I kept thinking this sounds somewhat familiar.I am a huge Jazz fan and you haveing worked with some of THE GREATEST names IN Jazz and professional music at large.
