Terry Williams

I've been a musician most my life although it is not my profession. I started my musical life as a trumpet player in school, declined a music scholarship and went into biology in college. I'm a scientist by trade, cell biology/immunology. Over the years I learned to play the guitar, drums, bass, and various other instruments. At a certain point in my life - due to an overwhelming desire to do music, I left my science career and built Blue Light Recording Studio in Del Mar. A really beautiful and good sounding room. Had a lot of fun, learned a lot, met a lot of great musicians, and also had a lot of difficulties in getting enough business to stay in operation. After two years I had to quit and went back to the lab. A number of years later, I discovered music on a computer - wow, what a revelation! This is the future of music! Not that playing conventional instruments will ever cease, but the computer opens up possibilities that are a dream come true.

I started two music websites, ProAudioMusic for pop/electronic, and Classical Matters for classical players and composers, in order to advance this dream. What an exciting time in music!
