I started making beats in 2005 (influenced heavily by DJ Premier), sampling whatever I could find on (insert prefered p2p software here). I later got a turntable and started digging for records, which obviously resulted in much more quality samples. I stuck with sampling late until 2006, that's when I start devling into actually playing original parts. I started off with a midi keyboard, and eventually in late 2008 I started playing guitar and eventually bass. Everything I've learned is pretty much self taught. I wish I had some lessons when I was younger, but I didn't have much time between basketball, football and baseball. Today, I like to combine original elements with sampled elements, that's more my style.
