About Me

Skill Level:
Professional
Craft:
producer
Instruments:
percussion, keyboard, drums
Genres:
traditional pop, hip hop, rhythm and blues (r&b), latin

Impact has been making beats in one form or another since the sixth grade. He played percussion in his middle school band. It's at this point he found out he had a natural ability of putting together drum patterns. "I didn't really like playing the songs they had, so i usually just messed around and made my own stuff up." Fast forward a few years later, and he met a guitarist with a home studio, and a drum machine. This is where he first learned how to make a "real" beat. They recorded a whole album together with just a guitar and Boss DR-550. That was the begining, and Impact has been making music ever since. Working with fellow Houston area artists encompassing all different genres has broadened his style. His influences include Rza, Dr. Dre, and DJ Premier among others.

Thank you so much, Impact! Glad you liked my sound =) I try to keep it clean while simultaneously powerful in all of my mixes. Your songs are really great! Heaven is beautiful, Gothic Crunk is tighttttt, and the guitar work on Catchy Guitar Beat is really nice! Kudos, Impact! Btw, you should see if you can get Techno Pop picked up by a video game company - that's the first thing that came to my mind, and there's tons of money in video game scoring =) Keep in touch! - Spikey Jay

This is a message of good luck, is not a message "vote me" or anything like that. Simply say that i have known to many people with fastastics remixes which should be well studied to make good use of the vote.
Is an experience in this contest of Mariah Carey and I am very pleased to have participated in it.
a strong greetings and I hope you have a lot of good luck partner!

I hope you like my salsa remix. http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/2811 ;-)
