Honestly, it's been a long road with many things to learn.
I’ve been in the industry since the early 90's and performed at some of the hottest venues. There's nothing like performing live!
Met all of the people that I thought have inspired me (musically/professionally) in person, and I have learned a few things.
“Things” like humility, focus, and determination, and how the “work has to be solid, or at least interesting. The good thing is that I never cared much for fame, and I don’t have to worry about that anyway …lol
I've been told I'm a "good" person, with a "great" soul, and that my music reflects that.
I'm technically creative and innovative right down to the soul, so much so… sometimes my thoughts actually become reality…it’s surreal.
- How I Work:
Honesty and trust. No one is better than anyone else in the team. Sometimes one person does all the work on a few projects, but that ok as long as others are learning..
In addition, if one person is doing all the work (on any given project) then the other teams members should be working just as hard to contribute, even if some (or sometimes all) of the non-contributing members idea are completely shot .
It's all about ego...and "dumping" it. Your only as good as your supporting cast...
- Experience:
I learned a great deal working on the remix above, I think its pretty good, and it's on YouTube so lets see what non-musicians, and the record labels think.
10 years... worked with the best...

well said about the contests here sometimes... most times it does seem like high school popular vote rather than the music HOWEVER I like your point about focusing on the music and being able to use your remix later. I have not placed higher than #39 but those same remixes I have had interest from film and other hits on myspace as well. I use this to sharpen skills and get contacts since you never know who you will meet on here. Liked your weezer mix and you got my vote. be easy man.
