About Me

Craft:
musician
Instruments:
electric guitar
Genres:
fusion, jam band

Grew up in a musical household.Went to Lincoln Center all the time for the kiddies matinees.Started playing trumpet and drums in the 2nd grade, then dumped the trumpet for the upright bass in 3rd grade.Continued the bass through 11th grade.Took 2 guitar lessons when I was 13 from some old broad, who after I told her I wanted to play like Kiss, told me they were awful,so I put the guitar down until I trashed my knee senior year football practice. So me and Dancin Hansen went to Sam Ash in White Plains and I got an Ario Pro II Urchin and an Ibanez Super Metal pedal, and it's been off to the races ever since.Started really getting serious during summer school after my sophmore year of college, practicing up to 11 hours a day.Bounced around in cover bands for a while, then headed out west to GIT in Hollywood in 1992,great time to be in LA right?Anyway,I got most of what I wanted out of the first 6 months, kinda went to class the next 3,then abandoned the school all together.Since then I have released two solo discs on Bakedproductions.com,which were all over the charts on the old mp3.com,and after much toiling, have succeeded in putting out a cd for Mighty Quinn Productions.I have been fortunate enough to have worked w/Jerry Roche and Mantis Evar, and Oliver Von Essen, all Indaba members.Looking forward to creating and working with more members.See you all soon.......

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!

Johnnie is looking to put a new band together! Needs a bass player and a drummer, keyboard player and vocalist! If you are looking for a gig and you CAN play, make sure you check out this Knitting Factory gig on the 18th and you just may land yourself a job!
