Working With Others

How I Work:

I collaborate. When I don't do that, I create. If at all possible, I do both. I'm open to just about any musical project but ideally I'd like to mix, produce, program or compose. I've played guitar on over a dozen albums so I'd be happy to do that too. Fee is a flat $15/hr for whatever. We can work out a per-project thing too, if you want.

I have access to Pro Tools HD and Cubase w/Apogee conversion for $20/hr extra.

Namaste...

Experience:

12 years in the industry. 2 behind the console. Played guitar in national and regional touring acts. BA in Composition from Augsburg College and AAS in Guitar Performance from McNally/Smith College of Music.

Equipment:

Macbook, iMac, Digi 003 w/Protools 8. Ableton Live 7, Logic Express 8, Telecasters, P-Bass, Yamaha Drums, Zildjian cymbals, Roland X7, AKG, AT, Shure, Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic mics, Pure Evil.

Congratulations with the Music Instinct contest mate, glad to see that your track got rewarded, it is fairly deserved. A great tune with a great vibe, yes sir. I'll surely keep passing by now and there to see what the Royal Beatsmyth is up to. Keep up the good work, cheers!

Yes! I'll keep you in mind! For some reason, I trust anyone that says they like Andy P. In my humble opinion, he's one of those rare artists that carved his own path with guitar and songwriting (in the same vein as Zappa, Devo, Wall of Voodoo, Oingo Boingo, Gang of 4, The Residents and others that didn't come from anywhere and couldn't be imitated) I think, perhaps that I just date myself with my "influences", but outside of Primus (and maybe Bjork), I haven't heard much "above ground" new music since 1991 that appeals to me. I'll keep holding my breath.

Shuggie Otis? Yeah. He's dope. Shuggie was sampled by Digable Planets, blowoutcomb album. The joint For Corners is the track....ironic that wah wah is on that album.

Thanks though man... you from Minneapolis?

Actually I have yet to use Melodyne for anything lol... On Starstruck I just cranked up the on-board logic pitch correcter. I don't like using pitch correction.
